Comment

Contains chlorophyll a, β-carotene, pheophytin, plastoquinone, a Mn₄Ca cluster, heme and non-heme iron. Four successive photoreactions, resulting in a storage of four positive charges, are required to oxidize two water molecules to one oxygen molecule.
