GSDMT protein has two repeated AdoMet-binding motifs in the N-terminal and C-terminal domains. A truncation mutant carrying the N-terminal part exhibits high activity for glycine, low activity for sarcosine and no activity for dimethylglycine. A truncation mutant carrying the C-terminal part displays the highest activity to dimethylgycine, slightly lower to sarcosine and low activity to glycine
