The primary products of pyrogallol autoxidation are H2O2 by reduction of O2 and pyrogallol-orthoquinone by oxidation of pyrogallol. SOD is catalyzing a reaction that annuls the forward electron transfer step that produces superoxide and pyrogallol-semiquinone, both oxygen radicals.
