General Information

EC Number General Information Comment Organism
2.3.1.201 physiological function gene PGN_0002 is a wbpD homolog which is required for synthesis of UDP-ManNAc(3NAc)A. A PGN_0002-deficient mutant demonstrates an A-LPS biosynthesis deficiency, a pigmentless phenotype and reduced hemagglutination and gingipain activities on the cell surface compared with wild-type cells. PGN_0002 mutants are not immunoreactive to anti-A-LPS, and no HBP35 and Rgp diffuse bands are observed Porphyromonas gingivalis
2.6.1.98 physiological function a strain lacking PorR activity expresses the conventional O-antigen of orphyromonas gingivalis strain W50 (O-LPS), but lacks A-LPS, i.e. a different O-antigen consisting of an anionic polysaccharide (APS) repeat unit. PorE is a homolog of WbpE Porphyromonas gingivalis
