General Information

General Information Comment Organism
physiological function generally high choriolytic enzyme (HCE) and low choriolytic enzyme (LCE) cooperatively digest the egg envelope, that is, HCE swells and softens the egg envelope by its proteolytic action, and then, LCE completely digests the swollen envelope. Gene cloning analysis reveals that in Xiphophorus maculatus the LCE is pseudogenized since open reading frame is not complete. Thus, the hatching of black rockfish is performed only by HCE, that is, after the egg envelope is swelled and softened by HCE, the embryos ruptured the envelope by their movement Xiphophorus maculatus
