physiological function bromelain enzyme from pineapple fruit acts as an antiviral agent against HIV, hepatitis C and human papiloma virus. Patients are given two glasses of fresh juice from pineapple fruits per day resulting in reduced human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) load.
