General Information

General Information Comment Organism
physiological function screening of thermophilic and thermotolerant filamentous fungi for the production of beta-xylosidase and arabinanase at different temperatures. beta-Xylosidase and arabinanase activities from mycelial extract (intracellular form) are higher in cultures grown at high temperatures (35-40°C), while the correspondent extracellular activities are favorably secreted from cultures at 30°C. Aspergillus niger and Aspergillus thermomutatus are the filamentous fungi with the most expressive production of beta-xylosidase and arabinanase, respectively Aspergillus thermomutatus
