More 27 isoschizomers identified among 26 clinical Escherichia coli strains. Without exception, all 26 strains produce one or two type I enzymes. The two most common isoschizomers are Eco377I and Eco646I, which between them account for 48% (13/27) of the R-M systems identified in these strains.
