General Information

General Information Comment Organism
malfunction silencing of the enzyme affects expression of the other developmental genes without a specific phenotype, e.g. mRNA accumulation of heat shock protein 70, SnHsp70, is increased while the heat shock cognate 70, SnHsc70, and ecdysone receptor, SnEcR, mRNA accumulation is decreased Sesamia nonagrioides
physiological function the enzyme plays a critical role in regulating larval to adult transition in insects and other arthropods. It is following the ecdysteroid titer of Sesamia nonagrioides in contrast to other conventional JHE genes of several insects. The enzyme is implicated in larval-larval molt of Sesamia nonagrioides larvae. The enzyme is implicated in the ecdysteroid instead of the juvenile hormone signalling by interfering with the molting process Sesamia nonagrioides
