physiological function | native AAT is both necessary and sufficient for cell growth and L-lysine production. Deletion of aspB leads to decreased dry cell weight. Expression of Escherichia coli aspartate ammonia-lyase gene in AspB-deleted strain is beneficial to increase the L-lysine production, but overexpression of the native AspB gene in the original strain does not much increase the l-lysine production | Corynebacterium glutamicum |
