additional information CsCCD8 is highly expressed in quiescent axillary buds and decapitation dramatically reduced its expression levels. CsCCD8 expression is higher in the newly developed vascular tissue of axillary buds compared to the vascular tissue of the apical bud. Expression levels in the apical bud are much reduced in comparison with the expression levels in the quiescent axillary buds, suggesting that the levels of CsCCD8 are reduced during the sprouting process.
