Inhibitors

Inhibitors Comment Organism Structure
Cd2+ enzyme inhibition in excised etiolated leaf segments during greening. Cd2+ inhibits ALAD activity by affecting the ALA binding to the enzyme and/or disrupting thiol interaction. Inhibition of ALAD activity by Cd2+ is decreased in the presence of nitrogenous compounds, glutamine and NH4NO3, overview. Supply of some essential metal ions, such as Mg2+, Zn2+, and Mn2+, also reduces the inhibition of enzyme activity by Cd2+ Zea mays
GSH a weak inhibitor Zea mays
levulinic acid a weak competitive inhibitor Zea mays

Metals/Ions
