Lysophosphatidic acid with fatty acid C20:4 is acylated at only about one-half maximal rate compared with others. The preferred acyl donor follows the decreasing order of C18:1,C16:0, C18:2, C17:0. Fatty acyl-CoA consisting of short-chain fatty acids C8:0 to C13:0 and very long-chain from C20:0 to C26:0 are not substrates.
