An iron-sulfur flavoprotein (FAD) containing siroheme. The enzymes from the fungi Neurospora crassa , Emericella nidulans and Candida nitratophila can use either NADPH or NADH as electron donor. cf. EC 1.7.1.15, nitrite reductase (NADH).
